Investing in Our Team: Training & Development
At Roche, teamwork is one of our core values, and we know that the strength of our business depends on the skills, knowledge and growth of our team - making staff development and training a top priority. So far this year, our team has collectively completed over 100 training courses and certifications, spanning a wide range of technical, professional and personal development programmes. This learning has taken place across all levels of the company - from AVITS & AVSDS Roche Academy trainees through to Directors - demonstrating our commitment to continuous improvement. Our team members have achieved industry certifications including AVIXA, Crestron, Kramer, Extron, Dante & Harman Pro, helping to ensure our staff remain at the forefront of audio visual technology. Alongside technical training, we also recognise the importance of broader professional development. Staff have completed other courses including PASMA, Cyber Essentials, GDPR, ISO and mindfulness, ensuring we maintain high standards of safety, security, quality and wellbeing across the business.
A key part of our commitment to developing future talent is the Roche AV Academy, which offers a range of 2-year traineeship programmes designed to bring new talent into the AV industry & develop the next generation of specialists. The academy currently offers 3 dedicated development pathways: AVITS (AV Integration Technical Specialist), AVSDS (AV Systems Design Specialist) and AVNPS (AV Network & Programming Specialist). Each programme provides a clear, guided route into the industry for motivated individuals, combining hands-on experience, mentoring from experienced professionals and structured training leading to internationally recognised certifications. The programmes continue to evolve alongside the industry with AVSDS graduate Gabby Sinusaite — a Rising Star at the 2025 AV Awards — playing a role in shaping the development of the traineeship modules. By investing in these schemes, we are not only developing talented individuals but also helping to address the wider skills gap within the AV industry, creating accessible career opportunities for those who may not previously have considered a career in the sector. Importantly, professional development doesn’t stop once training programmes are completed. Continuous learning is encouraged at every stage of a career, ensuring our team remain at the forefront of evolving technologies while building rewarding long-term careers within the business.
