Developed by Gary Neville's Relentless Developments, No. 1 St. Michael's is dubbed as Manchester’s new 5-star destination - a world-class development bringing together workspace, hospitality and community in the heart of the city. Working in partnership with Zerum, MAPP and the wider project team, we delivered an AV and communications solution that supports the building's premium occupier experience. NowSignage plays a vital role in keeping tenants informed and connected, while the wider technology estate extends across professional meeting spaces, collaboration areas and a flagship events venue, creating a seamless, intuitive environment designed for the demands of modern work.
A central hub for content
Designed to support collaboration, wellbeing and a premium occupier experience, No.1 St. Michael's combines modern workspace design with integrated workplace technology. As part of the building's wider digital ecosystem, NowSignage was selected as the platform of choice to deliver clear, engaging and consistent communication throughout the development.
The cloud-based platform provides a central hub for managing and distributing content across digital displays located throughout the building, enabling the team to share important updates, promote occupier events, highlight wellbeing initiatives and showcase building-wide activities in real time. With a user-friendly interface and the flexibility to schedule, update and tailor messaging from a single location, NowSignage helps ensure content remains relevant, timely and impactful.
A sense of community
Beyond simple information delivery, the platform plays an important role in helping to foster a sense of community within the development. By providing a dynamic channel for engagement, occupiers can stay informed about networking opportunities, workplace events, local initiatives and the services available to them, helping create a more connected and collaborative environment.
Integrated as part of the wider workplace technology strategy delivered by Roche AV Pro, NowSignage provides St. Michael's with a scalable and future-ready communications platform that supports the evolving needs of tenants whilst enhancing the overall workplace experience. The Lounge
The AV installation includes a welcoming lounge and kitchen area designed to bring occupiers together, creating a relaxed environment for informal meetings, networking and social interaction.
Centred around an 85" Samsung professional display, the space combines digital signage, presentation capabilities and integrated QSC audio technology to deliver both day-to-day communications and engaging visual content.
The NowSignage platform allows building management to share announcements, events and tenant communications, while the QSC DSP, control and audio infrastructure ensure the space remains flexible for informal presentations, community events and occupier engagement activities.
Southmill Boardroom
Designed to support professional collaboration and hybrid working, Southmill delivers a premium boardroom experience for occupiers and visitors alike. The room features an 85" Samsung commercial display, Crestron room control and AirMedia wireless presentation technology, enabling users to share content quickly and intuitively.
Integrated Yealink conferencing technology ensures high-quality audio and video communications, supporting seamless meetings between in-room participants and remote attendees.
The display also forms part of the wider building signage network, allowing the space to support room booking information, visitor messaging and branded communications when not in active use.
The Studio
The centrepiece of the installation is the impressive 45-seat Studio, a flexible event and presentation space designed to host seminars, training sessions, networking events, workshops and large-scale hybrid meetings.
The room features a large-format 98" Samsung professional display supported by a sophisticated AV ecosystem including QSC audio processing and control technology, Shure professional microphone solutions, dual QSC camera systems and Crestron wireless presentation capabilities. Together, these technologies create an immersive and highly adaptable environment capable of delivering exceptional experiences for both in-person audiences and remote participants.
Beyond presentations and events, the display also operates as part of the building-wide digital signage network, providing a dynamic platform for communications, branding and event promotion throughout the venue.
Bootle Boardroom
Designed to support professional collaboration and hybrid working, Bootle also delivers a premium boardroom experience for occupiers and visitors alike.
