CPC Awards Countdown: Barnsley College - Loxit media lecterns

We conclude our countdown to the Crescent Purchasing Consortium CPC Excellence Awards on Friday by taking a closer look at the Loxit lecterns. The Loxit Control media lectern answered all of the Barnsley College project’s scope, creating a unified solution that enhances collaboration, delivering a consistent digital teaching experience right across the campus:

Size & build: The compact space has been cleverly designed to accommodate either 14U or 16U racking. The lectern design also features natural ventilation, saving any concerns about heat build-up without the additional cost of fan cooling.

Quality & security: Constructed form sheet steel, the Control lectern offers high levels of security, longevity & style – thanks to the soft edge finishes, high quality construction & the low maintenance, matt colours.

Hidden gems: Inside the Control media lectern there is space for an optional 10 socket power distribution panel & plenty of room for internal cable routing. All 4 faces of the Control lectern are fully removable, aiding access for maintenance. These are ‘keyed alike’ to keep access simple & straightforward.

Consistent digital teaching: As the name suggests, this lectern is all about control, with a range of CPH options, that ensure every lectern, across the entire campus, is controlled through the same, familiar interface. This combination of compact media storage and consistent interface has fostered a greater sense of success for both teaching & maintenance staff across all learning environments of SYIoT.

The South Yorkshire Institute of Technology installation has already led to a further rollout of the Control into new areas of the college, where staff confidence has confirmed the strength of this partnership and the products.
