E-ACT Multi Academy Trust

E-ACT is an award-winning multi-academy trust responsible for 28 academies across England. Its mission is to empower all of its 18,000 pupils and 2,500 staff to realise their full potential by its 3 core values:

Think big for themselves and for the world around them.

Show team spirit always supporting and driving forward together.

Doing the right thing in everything they do, even when this means doing something that's hard, not popular or takes a lot of time.

Tom Campbell, CEO at E-ACT explained: “E-ACT’s vision of education is focused on the whole child. Our schools collaborate on Progress, Learning and Curriculum and drive high standards and great practice through a shared commitment that coming from a disadvantaged background should not shape your future. To achieve this, we provide care for not only the children we teach, but for their families, acting as a bridge between a range of charities, agencies, and interventions to support those in need.”

As the current Crescent Purchasing Consortium Top Scoring AV Supplier, the Academy Trust contacted us in early June urgently looking for an AV partner to work with in rolling out over a hundred and fifty interactive touchscreens across 8 different sites. The work needed to be completed before the start of the new school year in September.

The trust quickly realised that with the extremely tight deadlines involved, the most efficient way to achieve this would be to Direct-Award a Sole Supplier Agreement through the CPC framework. This allowed the MAT to save valuable time, normally spent by going out for tender, yet still having complete confidence in best-value.

Once the decision was made we allocated a dedicated Project Manager, Paul Pickard, who went on-site WC 16/6 to survey the rooms and schedule the required installation time. This meant that by the time the order was placed in early July we were well prepared and the time was already allocated. Further pre-start installation meetings and inductions were were carried out across all 8 sites during WC 24/7 ready for the first installations to take place promptly on 31/7. This would then give a 4 week window for the installations to be completed in good time for the start of the new school term.

Key Features

  • Rapid installation service: 154 Clevertouch M Series Touchscreens were installed in just 4 weeks across 8 sites!
  • As the Top Scoring AV Supplier on the Crescent Purchasing Consortium, E-ACT have a Direct-Award Sole Supplier agreement with us allowing them to quickly and easily call-off touchscreens at a set price, as they roll them out across their sites.

Sample Site: E-Act West Walsall Academy

West Walsall Academy is a member of the E-Act academy trust with 1100 pupils. "At E-ACT West Walsall Academy we pride ourselves on ensuring that every student ‘strives for excellence’. We want to develop our students into good, kind, creative, and ambitious young people, not only through providing a quality academic provision but also seeking out opportunities for our students to excel and develop their cultural capital and pursue their interests." explains Headteacher Mrs Kerry Solway-Blower.

The Solution

Once we were appointed sole supplier we reviewed a number of leading brands and touchscreen options with the client. The Clevertouch M Series 3 was the preferred solution due to its specification and the Exclusive "E-ACT trust" pricing which was agreed between ourselves and the manufacturer given the scale of opportunity.

"We had looked at various suppliers and models of screens, but in the end, Roche AV negotiated special terms with Clevertouch and came back to us with a fantastic offer on the M Series," explains Jason Worlock, Head of IT at E-ACT.

West Walsall Academy is delighted with its seventy four new Clevertouch M Series touchscreens that were delivered quickly and installed in just 2 weeks.

Having just scooped up the award for "MAT of the Year" at the prestigious MAT Excellence awards, E-ACT is confident that this new investment will encourage collaboration and help both teachers and students move into an ever-evolving digital age. The trust prides itself on providing a high-quality education and for its ability to support all its students. Clevertouch's M series interactive screens are helping teachers provide lessons that support student engagement thanks to its uncomplicated and easily accessible interface and cloud-based features.

We are proud to have worked alongside the MAT installing over £240K of touchscreens so far with many more to follow.
