As the current Crescent Purchasing Consortium Top Scoring AV Supplier, the Academy Trust contacted us in early June urgently looking for an AV partner to work with in rolling out over a hundred and fifty interactive touchscreens across 8 different sites. The work needed to be completed before the start of the new school year in September.
The trust quickly realised that with the extremely tight deadlines involved, the most efficient way to achieve this would be to Direct-Award a Sole Supplier Agreement through the CPC framework. This allowed the MAT to save valuable time, normally spent by going out for tender, yet still having complete confidence in best-value.
Once the decision was made we allocated a dedicated Project Manager, Paul Pickard, who went on-site WC 16/6 to survey the rooms and schedule the required installation time. This meant that by the time the order was placed in early July we were well prepared and the time was already allocated. Further pre-start installation meetings and inductions were were carried out across all 8 sites during WC 24/7 ready for the first installations to take place promptly on 31/7. This would then give a 4 week window for the installations to be completed in good time for the start of the new school term.

The Solution
Once we were appointed sole supplier we reviewed a number of leading brands and touchscreen options with the client. The Clevertouch M Series 3 was the preferred solution due to its specification and the Exclusive "E-ACT trust" pricing which was agreed between ourselves and the manufacturer given the scale of opportunity.
"We had looked at various suppliers and models of screens, but in the end, Roche AV negotiated special terms with Clevertouch and came back to us with a fantastic offer on the M Series," explains Jason Worlock, Head of IT at E-ACT.
West Walsall Academy is delighted with its seventy four new Clevertouch M Series touchscreens that were delivered quickly and installed in just 2 weeks.
